TMJ
PROBLEMS
The mandible or jaw stores tension
when stress occurs. This is part of the fight or flight reticular alarm
system.
TMJ causes pain at the
sides of the
face, where the lower jaw (mandible) and the temporal bones meet on
each side, contributing to joint, teeth, nervous tension,
tooth-grinding, excessive wear and/or inflammation of the
temporal/mandibular joints and teeth.
The origin can come from an imbalance between the two temporal bones or
from whiplash injury of the neck.
TMJ and related symptoms respond very well to Craniosacral Therapy.
